Responsibilities:• Develop and institute processes, policies and procedures to help the company achieve its safety goals• Oversee the company’s Accident Countermeasure Program• Provide the leadership team with reporting and data analysis related to CSA scores, accidents, driver performance, safety-related expenses, feet fuel economy, hiring and attrition.• Lead a team of compliance specialists and oversee day-to-day operations of the Compliance team.• Oversee the ordering, purchasing, warehousing, installation, and inventorying of all safety-related hardware and software. • Work with vendors to negotiate services, minimize expenses and build strong relationships.• Oversee the company’s progressive disciplinary program• Oversee the company’s offboarding program• Ensure company compliance with federal record keeping regulations, including: o Retention of Driver Qualification (DQ) files o Retention and auditing of Driver Record of Duty Status (RODS) o Retention of Equipment Maintenance Records o Filing form MCS-150 o Filing annual United Carrier Registration (UCR) o Retention of Roadside Inspection Reports o Maintenance and retention of DOT Accident Register o Maintenance and retention of Incident/Accident files o Maintenance and retention of OSHA Form 300A o Retention of Drug & Alcohol Testing Records o Filing quarterly IFTA taxes o Calculating TRIR and DART rates
