1. Assists with academic research.2. Assists with duties related to the production of academic journals.3. Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss research assignments.4. Performs research work in archives, through interviews, online, or whatever may be appropriate to assist the assistant’s supervisor.5. Prepares literature reviews.6. Gathers and analyzes data.7. Manages and replies to project-related correspondence.8. Attends project meetings.9. Assists in the acquisition of research materials from campus facilities.10. Prepares other articles, reports, and presentations.11. Performs routine clerical duties as instructed, if essential to the research activities of the supervisor or project to which the research assistant is assigned.
