During this period, I gradually switched from SQA to back-end development.My responsibilities were bug-fixing and adding new features for the company's VoipNow and Hubgets products. This meant interacting with both the legacy codebase and the recent one. During this time, I:• Worked with the LEMP stack (Linux, Nginx, MariaDB, PHP), mostly for legacy code and the main web APIs. The web services I worked on used either the SOAP protocol or followed the REST architectural style. Regarding the later, I was responsible for creating and maintaining the OpenAPI schemas.• Wrote and maintained Node.js modules, either in JavaScript or TypeScript, for specific services, including an asynchronous API for computing reports on large sets of data.• Worked with the following database management systems: MariaDB (relational OLTP), ClickHouse (relational OLAP) and Elasticsearch (NoSQL).• Wrote and maintained client-side code for certain parts of the product. I used HTML, CSS, Vanilla JavaScript and Smarty (legacy codebase) or the Vue framework (new codebase).Also, during this time I've become more involved in code reviewing and task management as part of the back-end team. Starting from 2022, I have:• Held technical interviews as part of the internship recruitment process.• Held the internship training on the Web Services subject.• Been mentor to the intern assigned to the back-end team I was part of.

Kept the responsibilities assigned to me during the internship. Furthermore, I:• Developed a better understanding of the product and how it works.• Started writing and maintain Codeception tests in PHP.• Helped on organizing and documenting testing flows to be followed.• Worked on various helper utils used in testing, such as scripts for populating the server or reaching corner cases.• Extended my testing focus on internal developer tools.

Worked on the company's Unified Communication products VoipNow and Hubgets. During the 3 month internship I:• Learned the products well from a tester's perspective; this included both the end-user interface and the APIs.• Manually tested de products, mostly the end-user interface and the telephony features.• Wrote automated functional tests for APIs using Mocha in JavaScript.• Reported found bugs along with detailed replication flows and corresponding logs.• Helped organizing release notes for the products.
