During summer of 2022, I worked at an internship for Alexander's Jewelers. While I was there, I was in charge of online luxury watch sales. The responsibilities included: photography, digital marketing, product research, unofficial appraisals, minor watch repairs, in person sales and customer service. It was a great learning experience, and I was fortunate enough to work alongside a very fun and experienced sales team. I also learned to manage my own time and be proactive with my responsibilities.

Full disclosure: this business was started by my mother. I started working for her around the time I turned 18. However, I retained a lot of responsibilities and I had to prove that I was capable for the role, which was very serious for us since it was a large part of our household income. I learned how to handle serious phone calls and complaints from customers. I would personally reach out to customers via email and phone calls to recommend options and help guide them with their planning. I was also responsible for updating and maintaining the information on the homes in our excel sheet, which had hundreds of homes listed. This is the first job that exposed me to a more professional work setting, which I learned a great deal from.
