Indigenous-led ecological inventory of the Shinnecock Nation, with a focus on cataloguing culturally important species and invasive species. Designed research protocols and collected field data.Fire ecology research: generated a database of fire adaptations for species present; wrote report on historic fire regimes and modeling fire within plant communities and in order to evaluate feasibility of using prescribed burning as part of a return to traditional practices and restoration of native ecosystems; conducted literature review on Indigenous prescribed burning practices in the Northeast.
