My experience as a neurologist and my solid training in health economics have allowed me to identify the main questions of clinical specialists in multiple areas of pharmacoeconomics and health economics in general. I also consider that my background as a neurologist, combined with my economic training and my extensive statistical and epidemiological experience, will allow me to carry out comprehensive economic evaluations from a clinical and economic point of view. On the other hand, this background also allows me to communicate the relevant pharmacoeconomic concepts in a more accurate way with my clinical peers from a perspective that they consider reliable and from someone with whom they can share achievements, challenges, and expectations of the sector.

University focused on engineering and health education with special interests in cardiovascular and genetic research.Key Responsibilities:• Responsible for recruitment from several sites in Bucaramanga for the POISE study: a randomized controlled trial for evaluating the effects of metoprolol in patients with intermediate and high cardiovascular risk undergoing noncardiac surgery. A study designed and conducted by McMaster University (Hamilton, Ontario) and supported by the Population Health Research Institutes of Canada.• Responsible for follow-up visits and medical assessment from patients recruited in the CHICAMOCHA study: a cohort study for determining the risk factors for the development of chronic myocardiopathy in patients with the undetermined form of Chagas disease. Study design and conducted by UNAB andsupported by UNAB and Colciencias (Colombian Institute for research and technology development).
