It’s my favorite part of my role. “If our customers could only hear how we talk about them behind closed doors” …a leader of my org once said that is a perfect summary of that spirit. We obsess over customers. We fight for internal resources for customers. We interview internal AWS technologists to ensure they have the experience to address our customer's use case. We vet 3rd party partners, software, technology, etc, to ensure they are also exercising customer obsession to our standards. We are measured on how we improve business outcomes for our customers, not purely on AWS consumption. On and on.If I am your Account Executive, you’ve inherited a high paid, motivated, dedicated, politely-aggressive, customer obsessed resource that will behave more like an employee of yours than that of AWS. Give me an opportunity to earn your trust, and you’ll soon find yourself calling or texting me to see how peers are addressing X business problem, to vet a 3rd party your considering or a new technology you heard about, etc. My role as a father and husband are chief in my life. By my estimation, to do those well, I have to exemplify performing at the highest bar I'm capable of in my pursuits.
