Gabriel is an academic with a variety of individual and integrated research interests including advanced rock mechanics, tunnel and mine scale engineering analysis, rock behaviour prediction and deformation monitoring, rock mechanics and rock engineering for nuclear waste repository engineering, and applications of geophysical techniques to geotechnical and rock engineering. He is also passionate about teaching, and has a track record of excellence as a course instructor and teaching assistant at Queen's University and the Colorado School of Mines.Gabriel has a strong background in geology, geophysics, and engineering.
