• Assisted in the REP PVNGS Full-Scale Plume Phase Exercise as Planning Deputy Chief • Assisted in the REP PVNGS Functional Reception and Care Center (RCC) Exercise • Developed an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Manager Task book • Collaborated and Presented an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) training on Monsoon/Thunderstorm/Extreme Winds/Flooding Events • General Understanding of U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency and Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Assists in supervising overall swimming pool operations;• Assists in supervising and evaluating the lifeguard and water safety instructional staff;• Maintains staff attendance, scheduling, and activity reports;• Conducts mandated training, including but not limited to, rescue skills, in-service training, and physical conditioning;• Monitors and adjusts chemical levels of the pool facility, including maintaining written records;• Supervises cash receipts and cash and attendance records;• Monitors swimming pool area to prevent and respond to emergency situations;• May perform rescue and first aid functions;• Enforces pool rules and regulations;• Answers inquiries and provides information to the public regarding pool hours, activities, and events;• Supervises pool area, concessions area, bathrooms, and dressing rooms cleaning and maintenance;• Documents accidents and other pool-related incidents according to City requirements;• Coordinates and manages special events;• Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies and procedures;• Works in a safe manner and reports unsafe activity and conditions. This past semester I interned with Annko Technologies Inc, a private emergency management consulting firm. With Annko, I saw the first-hand application of what I learned in college. I learned how to use the California Comprehensive Planning Guide (CPG). The CPG is the State-level interpretation of Federal requirements for Emergency Management; it explains the basics of creating an Emergency Operation Plan (EOP) according to Federal standards. I also assisted with reviewing and updating several EOPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal standards.
