CurrentThe New York State Public Safety Cluster (DCJS, DHSES, DOCCS, OPDV, OVS, NYSP, and SCOC) currently uses over 100 Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) applications during day to day operations.The COTS Team provides level 3 server support for the Commercial Off The Shelf applications used by the Public Safety Cluster. The installation and configuration of the COTS applications, application patches/updates as well as server migration are all responsibilities of COTS support. COTS supports roughly 25 Severity 1 applications which require 24/7-365 support, for example NYSP Spectrum Justice System as well as the NY Responds Application.The COTS group is also responsible for the installation and configuration of the Spectrum Justice System for over 240 Police Agencies across the state.
