During the spring of 2023, I participated in the National Student Advertising Competition held by the AAF (American Advertising Federation) at Gonzaga University. Working with other classmates, we succeeded in placing Boise State University in the top 3 within the district. As a presenter, I was responsible for presenting our campaign to the AAF judges along with 3 other team members.

As a graphic designer with Peppershock Media; an Idaho-based advertising agency, I had the opportunity to work closely with our art and creative directors on various projects ranging from social media posts to creating brand guidelines and web-related media for our diverse set of clients. I also often had the chance to take part in client photoshoots, where I would travel to various locations to photograph various subjects for our client's work. Occasionally I was able to spearhead my own projects, which were mostly internal projects, and updating the company site. Lastly, under the tutelage of Rhea Allen, the CEO of Peppershock Media, I was able to take part in a rigorous, national advertising competition.

My role as a video editor and designer for the BLM was short, but sweet nonetheless. In this experience, I had the opportunity to learn how to be a self-starter, and a motivated individual to make sure I delivered the required materials by the end of the year. In essence, I was responsible for rebranding the UAS program into the new RPRS program, complete with a new logo. I was able to go on the tarmac at the National Interagency Fire Centre (NIFC) to record various process videos for the many tools that the RPRS used to combat wildland fires and aid the various departments that called the NIFC their home.

I was an intern with one of Washington & Idaho's most prestigious advertising agencies for the summer of 2022. In this role, I was exposed to various forms of disciplines such as product photography, audio editing, video editing, animation, some camera operation, and creating radio spots. Lastly, I had the opportunity of a lifetime as the stills photographer, and production assistant for a large-budget commercial that aired in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. I learned a lot of valuable skills through this experience thanks to my esteemed mentor Jodi Sali; the director of production for 116 & West who guided me through the many disciplines.
