At the core of a successful business strategy are a great and well-planned risk management, an internal control environment and, of course, a competent internal audit team.With more than 5 years of experience addressing client’s needs, working in largest professional services company in the world, I find myself today in the position of Senior Consultant with focus on Risk Advisory, Internal Audit, SOx, Internal Controls and Compliance.I coordinate internal audit teams and projects related to risk and controls mapping for SOx certification purposes. It's important to realize that addressing client’s business issues can involve finding new and unique ways to satisfy client’s needs and it usually involves creating new ways that differentiate your work.I help my clients to find their risks and mitigate them intelligently and effectively to maximize opportunities, prevent and manage problems related to the business. In order to do so, my team and I conduct internal audit tests; implementation of internal controls environment; processes, controls and risks mapping; elaboration of narratives, flowcharts, risk and control matrix, in different types of sectors and business, e.g. oil and gas, electric energy, pharmaceutical, financial etc. We also deliver projects related to compliance matters and risk management.I really believe in constant professional evolution to improve my work. Therefore, I am currently a CIA candidate at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and have already completed two out of three tests in order to earn CIA certification.
