I manage grants, projects, and programs that support social and behavioral scientists' research and career development. I studied cultural anthropology at George Mason University and conducted small-scale research as an undergraduate and graduate student, but quickly realized that I enjoyed learning about and supporting other people's work even more. So over the last 8+ years, I have had the privilege of working at the National Science Foundation, the Association for Psychological Science, the Society for Research in Child Development, and now the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine managing funding opportunities, organizing events, and highlighting the important work researchers are doing across many fields. In my free time, I feed my lifelong interest in anthropology by running Cultural Compilations, an independent blog that collates and highlights new research in culture, society, and the human experience for the everyday person.
