Processed nearly 500 soil samples, measuring various parameters including microbial respiration, microbial biomass, respiratory quotient, enzyme activity, wet soil aggregate stability, as well as the alpha and beta diversity of prokaryotic communities (using 16S rRNA gene sequencing) and eukaryotic microbial communities (using 18S rRNA gene sequencing), while also assessing their functional diversity.

Thanks to him and his colleagues, I also contributed to the study of the distribution and density of the Italian wolf population for a national project conducted by the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA).
