I am a scientist, obsessed with solving challenging problems and with revolutionizing the future of innovation through the powers of machines.My curiosity for the laws that regulate our material world led me towards an academic career in Chemistry. During my PhD I designed and synthesized innovative materials for environmental remediation, i.e. water decontamination under solar light, as I wanted my work to have a direct positive impact on the environment. I presented my discoveries at top international scientific conferences in Europe and North America, and I was offered a postdoc position at Mcgill University, in Canada. There, I tirelessly conducted research in first person and coordinated multidisciplinary teams on very different projects.I founded a startup focused on leaveraging Machine Learning and computational chemistry for preclinical drug discovery. This experience has enriched me with a broad expertise in the fields of bioinformatics and computer science. Also, it sparked my passion for investigating how AI models and high-performance computing can radically transform the research process.In addition to science, art is another passion of mine. In parallel to my practice as a scientist, I developed my artistic side as a professional dancer and actor early in life and performed for 10 years for some top dance Italian companies, as well as for the Italian National Theater. My artistic career and experience as an acting trainer for non-professionals amplified my creativity and taught me non-conventional communication and leadership abilities which I exported in my everyday life, including my scientific career.Connect with me if you share any of my passions or if you just would like to say hi.
