Ciao / Hi / 您好！ I’m Gabriele Tempesta 🌩️I’m a sustainable design consultant with over 10 years of experience in China, spanning both industry and academia. I help companies advance their circularity and compliance targets by redesigning products and services to be sustainable across their entire life cycle—without greenwashing or offsetting tricks._____It all started in 2009. While studying industrial design at Politecnico di Milano, I discovered the horrifying reality of massive extraction and pollution behind every product. Faced with an existential crisis, I set out to master more “responsible design” approaches: from sustainable design and human-centred design to design for behaviour and inclusive design.I explored these approaches as a designer in China, managing projects end-to-end across diverse fields: designing durable city furniture for local govs, developing circular economy workshops, creating low-impact products for startups, and delivering speeches on responsible design at top universities.In early 2024, I returned to Politecnico and joined LeNSlab, one of Europe’s leading research groups in sustainable design.
