Experienced nonprofit professional with a track record of success in management, leadership, and fundraising spanning 19 years. Over the course of my career, I have successfully raised $16.5M to support vital Y programs and services. Notably, I spearheaded the creation of the YMCA COVID-19 Relief Program, which raised an impressive $700K in less than 60 days.A significant aspect of my expertise lies in forging connections between funders and donors and the impactful work of the Y. I identify and address issues that resonate with them and plan meaningful tours, community panels, presentations, and live testimonials to showcase the Y's initiatives.In addition, I have championed the development of funding strategies for the LA Lee YMCA Mizell Community Center – Sistrunk – Fort Lauderdale, including Capital and Naming Rights initiatives. To keep donors informed, I distribute quarterly Snapshot reports and Financial Development Newsletters with impactful visuals, such as videos and pictures, illustrating the Y's program impact.As the leader of the Financial Development Department, I have managed the Annual Fundraising Campaign and collaborated with the CEO on naming rights and capital campaigns. I am skilled in working closely with Board Members, managing advisory boards, and volunteer committees, fostering a collaborative and productive environment. My commitment to data-driven decision-making yielded the implementation of a state-of-the-art data system to house our community health data, contributing to the Y's mission of promoting healthy living.Recognizing the importance of social responsibility, I initiated the Community Health Strategies department at the YMCA of South Florida, providing essential Health Navigation services that address Social Determinants of Health. This groundbreaking program has garnered state and national attention within the YMCA movement and is considered a best practice in addressing Health Inequities and Health Inequalities.
