Created a pipeline for ingesting data coming from Cloud logs. These logs contain a payload with information about the state of Google Meet devices. The pipeline receives, processes, and stores Event data which details changes in the state of Meet devices. This allows our engineers to query the data to assist in diagnosing issues.Developed pipeline in Java over 13 weeks with the guidance of a manager. Engineering involved parsing incoming logs to extract key fields, modifying the existing data schema, querying internal databases, and storing the new data. Expanded the number of issues being tracked by Streamz from 13 to 57.

Worked alongside developer on the GAPIC(Generated API Client) Java generator to add support for long running operations[LRO] for the Compute client over 12 weeks. LROs allow users to automatically check the status of asynchronous processes running on the cloud. Previously users needed to manually poll for the status of asynchronous processes.Developed generator in Java to add code to the Compute client using the abstract syntax tree model. Implemented Protocol Buffer technology to add the proper LRO machinery to 304 methods in the client. Added to the existing data model to store the new data needed for LROs.Wrote test classes for LRO components using JUnit and Mockito to ensure proper functionality during future development.Reviewed, updated, and improved my team's code using Git. Developed and deployed a fitness web application in Google App Engine over five weeks in a team with two other interns with the guidance of two hosts. The application helps users create a progress plan, track their fitness goals, and sync their training to their Google Calendar.Collaborated to create the UX/UI for the application using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, handled all storage and retrieval of data using Datastore, JSON and Java Servlets, and developed the goal tracking feature using the Google charts API for users to see their progress towards their goal.Completed essential technical training during the first 6 weeks and was immersed in Google's company culture. Mastered Google Suite by writing design documents in G-Docs, delivering presentations using G-Slides, and creating diagrams and charts using G-Drawings.

Spent 3 weeks at Google's Pittsburgh Campus learning from software engineers. We covered Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Google App Engine. For my final project, I developed the back end using python, jinja2 and webapp2, query system using data store, and friend finding algorithm of a webapp that suggests possible friends based on shared interests.
