I served as PI for the Supporting Practice in the Arts, Research, and Curriculum (SPARC) project supported by the Andrew W. Mellon foundation and the NEA-supported Arts Engagement Project, as well as contributing to a myriad of other projects and strategic priorities. I provided supervision and mentorship for a research team and student research assistants to produce a full range of research products and deliverables, build research infrastructure, conduct data science and qualitative-based analyses, create communications materials, develop collaborative partnerships within and beyond the university, and provide peer leadership for a national alliance of faculty, deans, center directors, students, and other university stakeholders.Developed new machine learning-based topic analyses and workflows around large-scale collections of text-based data in order to advance the methodological capacity to conduct comparisons across institutions and population for the purposes of systematic evaluation of programs and learning outcomes. Designed, facilitated, and synthesized workshops and workshop outcomes into paths forward, insights, and frameworks for advancing alliance topics and goals — including the creation of a leadership institute program framework designed around alliance partner engagement and hybrid online/in-person professional development experiences.
