Working at Eklipse Architectural Lighting was ideal to integrate a specific industry with its high standards and discover light as a medium. Initially, joining as an industrial designer, I worked with the R&D team on refining the product line, developing new products, building prototypes and managing documentation for manufacturing and assembly. It smoothly evolved in working directly with clients on specific requests and creating custom solutions for different needs. This new demand led to the implementation of the Design Services Department to ensure a good understanding and response to our client's challenges. I took the lead of those new services and also worked as a co-manager for the customer care and marketing departments. I traveled internationally to represent the company at tradeshows, site visits and client meetings. I was a key resource for the customer care department to ensure pricing and technical questions were answered properly. As a co-manager, I was organizing the schedule and task lists of three employees and following on their progress.While working on custom projects, I used design-thinking techniques to quickly identify and translate client intents into convincing proposals. I managed all aspects of the projects until their final delivery. I ensured that our relationships with clients and partners were kept healthy.It’s at Eklipse that I discovered how light is such a powerful tool when properly used. It can enhance our life and change how we feel spaces and interact with objects. I had a great complicity with the engineering team who kept helping me developing my knowledge around electronics and regulations. I will be greatly using this new set of tools with my next collaborators.

Kannibalen Merchandise came as a unique opportunity to develop a business division in partnership with Kannibalen Records owned by the music group Black Tiger Sex Machine. My long-time creative contribution to the band's branding and the experience we shared while creating their helmets were the key elements that convince us to join our force and open the promotional merchandise division. From there, I implemented a multi-channel online selling structure and remote point of sale at venues. I designed the architecture of all the business processes and selected the suppliers. I used different web services to link all platform to a centralized inventory management and accounting system.I designed and sourced a wide variety of goods such as t-shirts, hats, flags, lapel pins, hoodies, prints and jackets for the different artists of the label. I released the first merchandise lines for Black Tiger Sex Machine, Snails, Apashe and Dabin. A year later, Charlotte Cardin and Ana Roy were added to our list of clients for the manufacturing and Canadian distribution of their merchandise. This wonderful experience made me understand that my curiosity and design thinking mindset can lead me to solve challenges in all sorts of fields. Having reach a stable and fully organized system, I agreed with my partner that it was time I let them take over and let me return to my designer roots.

Being part of the early team at Robocut Studios gave me the chance to work on a lot of creative projects. I joined as an industrial designer and quickly developed multidisciplinary skills around electronics, CNC machining, laser cutting, molding and 3D printing. I helped and built art pieces for contemporary artists such as Patrick Bernatchetz, Nicholas Bernier and the MassivArt collective. We manufactured interactive installations for marketing stunts and video ads for clients such as C2MTL, Vallée Duhamel, Bleu Blanc Rouge and Moment Factory. Working at Robocut Studio has been a crucial experience and forged my working methodology and solution-driven mentality.
