I'm a retail manager with over twelve 12 years experience working at one of Ireland's leading convivence retailers. In this role I supported the store owner by contributing to the successful operation of the store and the implementation of strategies. Objectives included customer service, stock management, employee supervision and financial growth through close management of KPI's. As store Own Brand champion I oversaw the development of the stores own brand range. This exciting work seen impressive results; the store was a regional winner in the Own Brand Champions league in quarter one 2014, own brand sales increased 45% during 2014 and the store was awarded Own Brand store of the year for 2014 at the national Centra conference in February 2015. During my time in college I completed a three month work placement in Allied Logistics. Allied Logistics provided ambient and temperature controlled storage and distribution services in Ireland. Over the course of fifteen weeks I worked across a number of departments throughout the organisation experiencing first hand warehouse operations, procurement, transport, health & safety, HR, food safety and supply chain management. I’m passionate about my work and always eager to meet new people and further develop my skills. Elements of my work I enjoy are meeting new people, working as part of a team, scope of roles/responsibilities, developing relationships, a sense of community spirit and the challenges a dynamic a retail career brings. Recognition of your work has always been a strong motivator for me and I was delighted to be honoured at the inaugural Pride of Centra Awards 2015 as one of the top ten finalists. I have an honours degree in BSc Logistics and Supply Chain Management and an MBS Masters in Retail Management from Dublin Institute of Technology.
