I wore many hats here, actually everyone in the McSteven's team does. I created, checked and modified food tin labels and glass jar tags for mass retail, worked with copyright holders and 3rd party royalty management companies, coordinated with a team of hard-working, knowledgeable and creative individuals, with translators, outside contractors, vendors and partners. My work had to be both fast, as there are always multiple deadlines, and highly accurate, since with food products that contain potential allergens lives are literally on the line. Additionally, those companies who's copy-written images I worked with need to have their intellectual properties represented in the best possible light, and I strove to maintain an excellent and profitable relationship between McSteven's and their various IP licensees.

I worked as a Web Producer (and sometimes backup IS) with the Internet Sales department at Catamount Broadcasting in Chico, California. Our station houses affiliates of CBS (KHSL), the CW and NBC (KNVN). Our range covers from as south as Sutter County, to as north as just shy of the Oregon border, depending on your antenna. ...or in broadcasting lingo, 'market 130'.The web-based content has a much larger reach, obviously. ;-)So in my day-to day activity list, I create web pages, update content, run bug checks/fixes, make creative content, ads, edit and transcode video spots for both web and televised use and serve as a CM for our various forums. My department essentially consists of two people, my boss and myself and I have very little oversight so it's a necessity to be internally-motivated. I feel fortunate to be in this position since I am constantly being challenged and literally learn new things every day! In addition the people I work with at Catamount are exceptionally cool and consummate professionals. I have a traditional Fine Arts background, as well as education and experience in modern, electronic methods of media design and arrangement. I enjoy drawing, painting and sculpting, and their electronic cousins, painting and editing photos with Photoshop, using programs like Painter, and 3D modeling objects, characters and scenery via Maya, and create and edit movies with Adobe After Effects and Premier.

I studied for and earned my Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Animation and Visual Effect (AVE).I specialized in Hard Surface Modeling with a side-emphasis in Texture & Light.

I was responsible for maintaining a standard of near perfect quality while keeping a brisk pace of production. As a Dental Ceramic Technician it was my job to carefully blast away remaining mold material from the dental coping utilizing a 3 step process: bead blaster, steam jet and ultrasonic bath. After drying, I would brush on and sculpt layers of pigmented ceramics and baking the units (prosthetic teeth) in batches in a productive and efficient manner.This occupation was actually a lot of fun, and I've developed a great friendship with my former supervisor there!

I worked in the Screen Department, that is to say I was responsible for checking the line-up accuracy on the positives, performing photo-exposure, wash out and post-exposure proof checking and editing/damage control. Also among my duties were setup and tear-down of the printing presses, screen washing and screen frame maintenance.As in many professions, team work and the ability to maintain a brisk pace were very key here, but it was also necessary to have a good sense of humor!
