Every new task is a new puzzle for me.My goal is to speed up and simplify data processing in the MS Office environment. In most cases it means data manipulation in MS Excel, optionally also using MS Outlook. In that case, I always try to create a VBA application in such a way that directly from its own logic minimizes the possibility of introducing human errors. Ideally, my app only has a single button. Directly when opening the file, except for the control sheet, it deletes all other sheets, creates a new sheet for input data and asks the user to enter input data. Subsequently, after pressing the button, it creates the necessary output sheets and performs a complete process of data manipulation up to the level of the final output. The output is automatically archived and, upon request, can also be automatically sent in the form of individually personalized emails to a specified list of email addresses.Another area is mass creation of individual personalized letters in MS Word. The basis of such a process is the "MailMerge" function, but anyone who has already worked with it knows that this function creates only one file that contains all the personalized letters together. Only using a VBA program makes possible mass creation of individual letters.A particularly interesting area is text manipulation in MS Word based on data in MS Excel. This is different from the "MailMerge" function, where it is only a matter of adding data to precisely specified fields in the text. Text manipulation enables highly sophisticated personalization of letters during bulk creation, which can greatly speed up office processes and save a lot of work time and money.
