Project CAT-SI is a federally funded, 5 year grant created to train special education teachers for students with sensory impairments in rural, remote and high need areas. The Reach Across Texas Program is a competitive scholarship program that helps with the cost of tuition that assists students in Texas looking to be certified in Visual Impairment or Orientation and Mobility. Current responsibilities include; development and application of grants including; recruitment and admission of grant scholars, budget coordination, scholarship distribution, travel setup and reimbursement, annual reports to Office of Special Education Programs and Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, maintaining and updating scholar records, student assistance and support, vendor setup and payment, Blackboard course building and updating, technology aide, grant writing, research.
