I manage approximately 20,000 cases, including bankruptcy, mass tort, and sexual assault related litigation matters. My responsibilities include handling cases from acquisition through settlement, litigation, and/or trial. I have successfully litigated cases against companies like the Boy Scouts of America, Purdue Pharma, Mallinckrodt, Endo, Archdiocese of New Orleans, and Brazos Electric Power. I also lead and manage cases under the USDA Farmer Discrimination docket. Among managing large dockets, I juggle extensive brand and marketing requirements of the firm, media contact, press releases and conferences, social media expectations, photo shoots, live firm branded and broadcast shows. Additionally, I investigate and litigate “one-off” sexual abuse cases in Texas, California, Louisiana, New York, and Nevada. My responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, communicating with clients, and communicating with opposing counsel. I specialize in case investigations, trial preparations, trials, litigation, trauma-informed care, and assisting in managing large teams working large-volume cases.

As a felony prosecutor, I handled the highest level of felony criminal offenses, habitual felony offenders, sexual and physical crimes against children, and vehicular crimes. I tried felony cases weekly as first chair and conducted all plea negotiations in my assigned cases. I also maintained files for docket settings, conducted legal research, writing, and grand jury investigations and presentations of complaints and witnesses. I maintained contact with victims and witnesses for trial preparation and plea acceptance. Given my ability to speak Spanish fluently, I was assigned the majority of Spanish speaking victim cases. During my comprehensive tenure as a prosecutor, I successfully tried approximately 30 cases.

As a Special Victims Division prosecutor, I investigated and prosecuted crimes involving physical and sexual abuse of children and domestic violence. I previously served as a misdemeanor court chief, responsible for supervising and training new misdemeanor prosecutors and paralegals. My trial experience ranges from DWIs to Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child cases. I also served on the Vehicular Crimes callout team, which included scene visits to driving-related incidents, and investigation and prosecution of various driving-related crimes.
