As a GIS analyst, I developed maps for a research project on communities affected by infrastructure disparities and the role of community art in mitigation. Tasks included gathering shapefiles, cleaning data, and creating over twenty maps in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Transportation. I conducted research on port sprawl during COVID-19, focusing on railways and port flow analysis producing maps for the Journal of Transport Geography. Currently studying Atlanta's railroad development history, digitizing the railyards and analyzing associations with demographic variables from an environmental justice perspective.

As the GIS specialist and cartographic lead, I manage data and map creation for a historical-based research project studying 20th-century transnational migration patterns in Southern California. Examining the dichotomy between labor and leisure, I seek to highlight the untold stories of Mexican immigrants and the international workforce Catalina Island drew against the backdrop of its wealthy guests. Responsibilities include optimizing visual communication methodology and translating the Principal Investigator’s work into geospatial representation.
