The Student Writer-in-Residence (SWIR) is a collaborative program held in partnership through the University Students’ Council and the Department of English. The SWIR provides mentorship for student writers, takes a leadership role at a variety of literary and cultural events on campus, and develops and presents their own writing to the greater Western community. The Student Writer in Residence helps to foster creativity and foster student engagement on our campus and beyond.
