I complete investigations of geologic hazards, conducting and evaluating ground penetrating radar (GPR), electric resistivity imaging (ERI) and seismic multi-channel analysis of surface waves (MASW) surveys. These surveys are utilized in studies to identify the potential for sinkhole activity in karst regions both for cause of subsidence investigations and for pre-development site suitability. I am also a Neutral Evaluator under the Florida Department of Financial Services, providing peer review consults for cause of subsidence investigations. I have extensive exprience in environmental consulting, conducting complete site assessments under a variety of regulatory programs for both governmental and private clients.

Lake Okeechobee, Florida

The Herbert Hoover Dike surrounding Lake Okeechobee is undergoing restoration by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. I was the Professional Geologist onsite for one of the prime contractors and was responsible for developing and conducting the field sampling program to support the geotechnical evaluation of the cutoff wall. Duties included establishing the sampling protocols to assure compliance with USACE contract specifications, conducting all field measurements of cutoff wall verticality and permeability, and acting as the geologist of record for the drilling program. I completed the Construction Quality Management for Contractors course offered by the USACE and was the prime contractors CQC alternate.
