Performed initial evaluations which led to diagnoses and recommendations for treatment. Worked with a diverse population of children, adolescents, adults, and families, with a focus on addressing clients’ unique difficulties with respect to past traumatic experiences and chronic pain conditions. Utilized a variety of evidence-based modalities in the delivery of psychotherapeutic services, including: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Interpersonal Therapy, Object Relations, Play Therapy techniques, Art Therapy techniques, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy, Parent Behavior Management Training, Interpersonal Therapy, and Pain Management techniques. Administered comprehensive psychological and/or psychoeducational assessment batteries to assess intellectual, cognitive, emotional, and personality functioning. Performed psychosexual evaluations for the purpose of determining treatment and service needs, assessed risk, determined safety needs, and made specific recommendations regarding placement and further considerations. Provided assessment feedback through comprehensive assessment reports to provide recommendations for treatment and placement. Supervised medical students on rotation, provided training and advice in regard to therapeutic modalities in relation to psychological practices. Worked closely with medical providers and made appropriate referrals for psychiatric, case management, and community resources. Attended professional development and on-site training to continually develop clinical skills, knowledge of different theoretical orientations, as well as assessment and treatment of various mental health diagnoses.
