As more countries expand their grants, credits and incentives offerings, we help our clients in incentives cross-border strategies, preparation of documentation, and incentives audit defense.Research & Development Tax Credit: + Collaborate with five to ten teams simultaneously providing credits & incentives services to various Fortune 500 companies in the technological, insurance, manufacturing, consumer goods, and life sciences industries, resulting in benefits of up to $20 million. + Build Microsoft Excel credit models to display financial information in an organized set of schedules to compute qualified research expenditures.+ Draft project description matrices required to substantiate the R&D tax credit before the Internal Revenue Service.+ Review and provide feedback for work completed by staff, interns, and foreign team. + Provide training for clients regarding Deloitte’s internally developed technology services (I Smart).New Markets Tax Credit ("NMTC"): + Assist various sized clients (for-profits and non-profits) through each step of a NMTC transaction.+ Determine NMTC project qualification based on census tract data.+ Gather pertinent project information and develop NMTC project marketing materials.+ Identify and seek NMTC allocation from Community Development Entities and Investors + Gather relevant financial information and diligence for the NMTC transaction closing process. + Advise client throughout the closing process and regarding post-closing compliance requirements.
