Adult acute and rehabilitation caseload-Reinforcing skills to perform bedside swallow exams autonomously and produce diet/fluid recommendations and safe swallowing strategies to ensure patient safety.-Documenting patient progress in UR charts in a timely, efficient manner and conducting handover to health professionals in an informative and concise way.-Assessing, planning and implementing treatment for patients with severe aphasia and apraxia of speech to optimise communication and achieve goals.-Consolidating prioritisation and time-management skills in addition to developing flexibility in scheduling and adapting to unexpected changes in the workplace for optimal efficiency.

Mixed paediatric and adult caseload-Completing comprehensive AAC assessments and generating goals for AAC use in collaboration with families and allied health professionals.-Creating and implementing AAC devices, including PODD books and visual schedules, to aid communication in a variety of settings and providing strategies to support the use of these devices.-Use of behavioural strategies, such as ‘first (task), then (reward)’ to increase client participation and success within therapy sessions with children with varying severity of Autism Spectrum Disorder and consideration of sensory needs and preferences.-Developing skills to use and model language with low and high-tech communication devices, including speech generating devices such as Minspeak.

Mixed paediatric outpatient and adult rehabilitation caseload-Completing bedside swallow exams and generating recommendations for fluid/diet modification and safe swallowing strategies from assessment results and interpretation.-Assessing, diagnosing and planning individual evidence-based therapy for patients with aphasia ranging from mild to severe receptive and expressive impairments.-Conducting informal and formal assessment and implementing therapy for young children, 2 - 4;6 years, with moderate-severe speech and language delays/disorders. -Developing rapport with client and family and following the child’s lead to simultaneously maximise engagement and pursue goals.
