I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for sustainable energy. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have had valuable experiences in all corners of the energy world, including: rigorous internships at Siemens Energy and Westinghouse Electric Company, as well as undergraduate research involving computational modeling of thermoelectric converter for RTG's (radioisotope thermoelectric generators). With many years of industrial and academic experiences, I have fostered a love for the energy industry.I am currently open to work following my graduation in December 2024.

Mechanical Engineering InternWestinghouse Electric Company May 2024 - Aug 2024Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, United StatesI worked in Reactor Vessel/Containment Vessel Design & Analysis department, primarily with the Reactor Vessel Integrity group. In this role I authored documents and completed calculations to aid in the license renewal process of commercial nuclear power plants, as well as assisted in writing technical specifications for new developments. -
Mechanical Engineer Co-OpSiemens Energy Aug 2022 - Apr 2024Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, United StatesDuring each rotation of employment I worked closely with the Turbine Service and Design Engineers to design, fabricate, and document tooling, special parts, and fixtures in order to perform routine maintenance on various powerplant components.During the Spring 2024 outage season, I completed a job as a robot operator at a nuclear power plant for a new inspection robot designed for UT examination of low pressure steam turbines. This was a two week-long job in which I worked closely with experienced non-destructive evaluation technicians as well as with the engineers who designed the robot. -
Undergraduate Student ResearcherUniversity Of Pittsburgh Apr 2022 - Oct 2023Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United StatesI orally presented my research at the 2023 International Conference of Thermoelectrics in Seattle, WA.Undergraduate student research in Dr. Matthew Barry's lab in conjunction with NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL). Ongoing research analyzing a legacy modeling approach to thermoelectric converters found inside deep-space mission radioisotope thermoelectric generators. I interfaced with JPL scientists during weekly meetings and constantly re-evaluate and restructure my MATLAB solvers to match the desired conditions and approaches. -
Intro To Thermodynamics Teaching AssistantUniversity Of Pittsburgh Jan 2023 - Apr 2023Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United StatesI worked as a teaching assistant for MEMS0051 Introduction to Thermodynamics with Dr. Barry in Spring 2023. For this role, I graded assignments, exams, attended class, held office hours, and tutored students. My knowledge and understanding of the concepts covered in this course was expanded and sharpened; including MATLAB literacy and thermodynamic principles, which proved relevant in my co-op and research experiences. -
Mechanical Engineering InternEastman Machine Company May 2022 - Aug 2022Buffalo, New York, United StatesI worked at Eastman Machine Co. for a summer internship position during 2022. During my time here, I refined my CAD modeling and drafting knowledge in Solidworks, held a month-long study evaluating the efficacy of different sharpener shoes on a standard manual cutting machine, which included extensive testing and external research. I also gained exposure to the machine shop equipment and hands-on product assembly. -
Intro To Engineering Computing Teaching AssistantUniversity Of Pittsburgh Jan 2022 - Apr 2022Pittsburgh, PaI worked under Dr. Irene Mena and Dr. Amr Mahmoud as an undergraduate TA for the Spring 2022 ENGR 0012 session. Under this role, I attend class, hold office hours, tutor students, grade homework, quizzes, and exams, and collaborate with a partner TA to set a class of 62 students up for success. -
