feminist architecture collaborative is a three-woman* architectural research enterprise aimed at disentangling the contemporary spatial politics of bodies, intimately and globally. Their projects traverse theoretical and activist registers to locate new forms of architectural work through critical relationships with collaborators across continents and an expanding definition of Designer.*Gabrielle Printz, Virginia Black, and Rosana Elkhatib maintain their wily practice and their deep friendship in Brooklyn, New York.

This year-long assistantship involved a range of tasks, including copyediting contributions for forthcoming books, managing artwork and liaising with graphic designers, image and copyright research, administrative tasks within publications office, overseeing the office of publications website, and working with the Managing Editor on occasional book sales and inventory. During my tenure, I conducted research at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture for a publication on Columbia University's history in Manhattanville, edited a volume in the Transcripts series, and supported monthly publishing to the web platform for the Avery Review. I also designed, detailed, and fabricated an exhibition at the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale, a bibliographic installation for the book Climates: Architecture and the Planetary Imaginary.

A project-based position which involved re-conceptualizing the tectonics and fabrication of a previously installed interactive soft-structure, Beau-Fleuve.

In the Spring semester, I taught a design studio of 13 first-year students with coordinating faculty Dennis Maher, Karen Tashjian, and Matthew Hume, which culminated in a large-scale built work. In the Fall, I co-taught a studio of 20 first-year students under the coordination of faculty Korydon Smith, Matthew Hume, and Christopher Romano.

I taught an Architectural History recitation to second-year undergraduate students for professors Despina Stratigakos and David Salomon.

I collaborated with Buffalo architecture faculty to plan and coordinate the 2012 Martell Symposium -- Beyond Patronage: Reconsidering Models of Practice, where I also organized and moderated a student-focused event that explored emerging roles for architects.http://beyondpatronage.wordpress.comhttp://twitter.com/BeyondPatronage

I was responsible for all grant-required data reporting to the Small Business Administration. I also managed the Women's Business Center's online and social media presence, which included launching and producing content for the WBC blog.

In addition to offering administrative support to the Program Director, I researched and wrote a text on the theory and origins of Arts and Crafts architecture in relation to the specific architectural products of Elbert Hubbard's Roycroft Campus.

Summer internship. Worked with Raiser's Edge database software, helped to coordinate import and merge with Papilia, an online fundraising/donation software.
