Currently, I am a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in Oshkosh, Wisconsin developing my skills in pursuit of a degree in Bachelor in the College of Arts. I am a Psychology major seeking a graduate program for ABA Therapy.I enjoy developing the skills of mine and those around me to achieve the best possible outcome in every situation. Setting high standards pushes and motivates me to be a resourceful, problem solver and hard worker. Although sometimes when standards are not/cannot be met, I focus on the positive aspects and growth that occurred. On campus, I was a member of Club Volleyball. I have played on the Club Volleyball team for 2 years (4 semesters) and have learned time management and leadership on and off the court. Within my leadership role, I made sure everyone was focused and included on the team and continuously pushed my teammates to better themselves. Off campus, I currently work during the day as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) at Trio Academy. Here I continuously develop my leadership skills, problem solving and professionalist communication. As an RBT, I offer support to Behavioral Technicians (BT) and other RBTs, aid in following behavior plans during problem situations, and provide feedback to assigned BTs. I started at Trio Academy in Sept 2020 as a BT and became a RBT in Sept 2021.My goals are to finish my education to earn my Psychology degree and ASL certificate in the next 2 years while learning at an internship position. After graduating, I am planning on gaining more real world experience as a supervisor for 1-2 years. Then, I will attend grad school to receive a Masters in ABA Therapy, finishing off with the BCBA exam to attain a BCBA Therapist position. email: gabiram01@gmail.com
