I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and a minor in Biblical studies. Additionally, I have been a student-athlete (softball) for the past four years. Being an athlete has strengthened my ability to be disciplined, loyal and to persevere through challenging times. I have learned to function as both a team and an individual. During my internship with the Sheriff’s office I had the opportunity to strengthen the skills I am learning in my courses at Point University. I received positive feedback and throughly enjoyed my time there. I went on many ride alongs with the deputies/interstate patrols and worked cases with the investigations and narcotics departments I also spent time learning about the county jail and its processes and had the opportunity to participate in firearms and taser classes. My time at Point University has embedded in me a moral compass and value system that would benefit both the pubic and non-profit sectors.
