I provide high-quality play opportunities, primarily for children and young people with special needs and disabilities 5-15 years, but also for their mainstream peers in a fast pace environment. I also manage challenging and complex behaviours as well as assisting children/young people in implementing their personal care programmes during the session, including, personal hygiene, toileting and continence training, eating and drinking. My role also involves elements of planning, profiling and report writing.

Running weekly sessions for groups of new first year students. Sessions focus on academic skills and non-academic topics.Sessions help students to: adjust quickly to university life, improve their learning and study skills to meet the requirements of their course and prepare better for assessed coursework and examinations.

Working for The Challenge, the UK’s largest provider of NCS, and assisting and motivating young people with additional support needs through the summer youth & community programme.NCS (National Citizen Service) is a government-backed initiative with a mission to equip 15-17 year olds with the confidence, skills and support they need to make a real difference in their communities.In this role, I provide additional support and resources to improve accessibility for young people with behavioural and/or emotional needs. It also includes, working closely with schools, youth services and local authorities to engage young people from ‘Looked After’, Pupil Referral Unit, CAMHS and SENDCO backgrounds.
