I am currently a fourth year Laboratory Medicine student at Curtin University, majoring in microbiology, clinical biochemistry and haematology. Expecting to graduate in early 2018, I have one year of practical experience in 3 different laboratories, as well as training in phlebotomy and specimen reception. I also work at Red Rooster on a casual basis, where as a delivery driver and cashier I am used to high pressure situations where time management and communication is vital.I have thoroughly enjoyed my times at all placements I have been offered and have appreciated the opportunity to experience the real working environment; interacting with scientists and other employees and working with analysers that have equipped me with skills I can build on in my future career. In particular, I have a keen interest in clinical biochemistry; I especially enjoyed learning about Quantitative Serum Electrophoresis. I am looking for a casual position or short contract until the completion of my degree in November 2017, after which I will have full availability.
