Selected by a committee of experts in the sectors of creative youth leadership, literary arts, and community arts as Cincinnati's 2023-2024 Youth Poet Laureate.Role opportunities include co-creating a published chapbook with Cincy Youth Poet finalists, creating a Curatorial contribution to University of Cincinnati’s Elliston Poetry Room, and a $1,000 honorarium. Prominent appearances include Little Amal’s visit to Cincy, Books By The Banks (Cincinnati’s Regional Book festival), the inauguration of the Cincinnati City Council, and the Classical Roots concert at Cincinnati Music Hall alongisde the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

One of four high school students selected to be awarded a 7-week, all-expenses-paid scholarship to take a Classical course at Harvard with a stipend; took Intensive Beginning Greek (8 credits); undertook exploration examining the connection between Morrison’s The Bluest Eye and the “Homeric Hymn to Demeter;” discussed with mentor, Harvard Professor Emily Greenwood, 30-60 minutes each week.
