I led the launch and back-end administration of the aquarium’s eLearning program, which consisted of learning the LMS platform, creating a majority of the content within it, serving as the lead administrator, and leading introductory and ongoing training and support sessions for trainers and aquarium management. I collected and analyzed organizational and departmental data on a monthly and semi-annual basis to develop presentations for delivery to members of the senior leadership team and the Board of Directors. I developed spreadsheets to track and analyze data for the needs of the training department, as well as for other departments’ heads regarding compliance, personnel tracking, professional development, training classroom data, etc. I built the guest exit survey program, which included survey creation, volunteer training and management, technology implementation, and data analysis. I created targeted trainings, in-person and online micro-learnings, and technology solutions for implementation aquarium-wide and within individual departments across the aquarium, especially the Education and IT departments. I revamped the onboarding manuals for our department (one of which was adopted as a template for other departments’ use); led the training and onboarding of 5 of our departmental staff –- onboarding as many as 3 at once; created and led several professional development workshops to enhance the presentation skills of our department’s training team. I managed all technology for the department; researched and evaluated software; led training on implementation and updates of new software.I designed 5 new online and classroom courses; revamped 10 online and classroom courses; delivered over 50 distinct courses in person to as many as 30 adult and teenage learners per classroom session.

I led guests of all ages through the galleries and behind the scenes during Sleepover Programs. I instructed guests on Georgia Aquarium’s conservation and research practices and promote ways for the public to protect at-risk wildlife. I safely engaged and guided guests at the Aquarium’s various touch pools, ensuring the safety of the animals and of the guests.

I led VIPs and other guests through animal immersion programs, Wild Encounters and Keeper for a Day, in areas of reptiles, carnivores, elephants, pandas, hoofstock, lemurs, wild birds, and tractable program animals. At various points, I was the highest on-site sales of any Wild Encounters guide, selling over 200% more than any other guide.

I regularly supervised as many as 8 staff and 200 guests in a single evening within any of several overnight programs, organizing activities and ensuring the safety of participants and instructors. I created curricula to support teachers in integrating technology into their STEM lesson plans, and I assisted in leading teacher professional development workshops focused on STEM and environmental conservation.

I trained faculty to incorporate iPad, iPod Touch, MacBook Pro, and Apple TV into daily activities and curricula via professional development sessions, small group tutorials, one-on-one mentoring, and creation of instructional videos and modules on the school’s LMS platform. I helped implement and run the middle school’s 1:1 iPad program, creating guidelines for workflow, content, and conduct. I researched and field tested new software and hardware for potential adoption by students and faculty by providing ongoing training to students and faculty on the use of the newest apps and updates, including the school’s LMS. I also helped chart upper school technology plan as a “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) school by aiding in the design and conducting of technology audit, field testing potential laptops, and gathering analytics and feedback on overall technology usage and concerns.

I taught at-risk students AP Physics B, Honors Physics, Conceptual Physics, and Biology using modeling and discovery-based learning methods. I led Physics sub-department by guiding content, pace, and rigor of the Conceptual Physics program, collaborating with other 5 members, and generating digital and physical curriculum materials. I also developed and implemented a new Biology II curriculum, standards, and all related instructional materials. I helped to significantly increase Pebblebrook’s student passing rate from 61% to 89% on the Science portion of the Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) during my tenure by running an after school tutorial program for the Science section of the GHSGT and by creating gradewide homeroom materials for daily review by me and other teachers.

I assisted in a behavioral research study on color visualization in the Giant Panda. I was responsible for the set-up and break down of experiment equipment and for accurate recording of data. Daily, I assessed the subjects' behavior and receptivity and revised and adjusted the criteria for the experiment.

I taught science in 7 different classrooms of at-risk 2nd and 5th graders at Slaton and Benteen Elementary Schools in Atlanta Public Schools. I developed science curriculum and created experiments to teach students fundamental basics in physical, chemical, and biological sciences.
