Leads and develops a strategic roadmap for email that develops existing and identifies new opportunities for supporter engagement, retention, fundraising, and raising brand awareness for both the Humane Society of the United States and the Humane Society International programs. Directs all efforts to maximize and improve advocacy participation, donation income, email list growth, ensure email deliverability, supporter cultivation and improve donor retention. Manages email contracts and revenue and expense budgets while overseeing a global team of 7 email marketing professionals. Serves as the organizational point-person to advise on enterprise-level solutions concerning all email communications.

1. Write, create, and send advocacy, fundraising, event promotion, and other emails to segments of the organization’s online house file.2. Manage, from concept to implementation, a variety of web projects ranging from one-page microsites to interactive online projects.3. Research, write, and/or edit web stories, emails, donation forms, and other electronic content.

1. Coordinate with Digital Marketing Manager to respond to questions about our organization on social media and targeted adverts, including after hours as needed. 2. Assist the Digital Marketing Manager in day-to-day management of the organization’s social media communities and advertising campaigns. 3. Assist in maintaining ongoing reporting and analytics spreadsheet and report on online advertising campaign data.

Provides assistance to the Farm Animal Protection Public Policy team in combating bills harmful to animal welfare and promoting those which protect farm animals in targeted states by drafting LTE’s and action alerts, phonebanking, researching legislation, attending meetings, maintaining documents, and promoting campaigns through social media.
