Developed brand content and supported the overall marketing strategy for USD's business school. Over 5 years, I evolved from a Marketing Coordinator into a seasoned Marketing & Communications Manager. As our team's primary content creator, I spoke with and interviewed countless students, alumni, professors, and staff — and occasionally donors — to share the impact that the Knauss School of Business had on their academic and professional journeys. I provided accommodations documented in an IEP or 504 to a case load of 20+ high school students with various learning disabilities. I worked with students collaboratively in their classrooms and one-on-one outside of the classroom, monitored their progress on assignments, and prepared assignment modifications as needed. In addition, I tracked and recorded student progress towards their IEP goals and shared these in parent-teacher meetings.I also provided general academic support to all students in the classroom who needed assistance. This role was an unexpected step in my career progression, but one that helped cement my desire to seek job roles that allow me to make an impact through education.

As the Student Enrollment Advisor, I marketed English language programs to international students, met enrollment targets, and guided students along the enrollment process. I advised ~100 students each month via phone, email, and in person communications. Enrolled 5 - 25 students/month. In addition, I implemented marketing initiatives to recruit new students and curated the San Diego location's Facebook page. One of the initiatives was a monthly English language Meetup event that showed potential new students our school and teaching style. I hosted the event, promoted it, organized and planned the teaching session with a participating teacher, as well as maintained communication with attendees prior to and after the event. In this role, I absolutely loved getting to meet students from all over the world every day and working with colleagues that had a passion for the world and its cultures.
