Gabrielle is a strategic communications leader with a wealth of expertise in multilateral climate engagement, with deep connections across the climate advocacy space and with media, and is an excellent writer and editor.Prior to joining the Climate Action Campaign, Gabrielle developed and executed strategic communications campaigns focused on the oil and gas industry, advocating for a just and equitable energy transition, working with clients including the Global Gas and Oil Network and Oil Change International. At Climate Nexus, Gabrielle was a driving force behind putting methane on the map as a critical part of the climate conversation. From the launch of the Global Methane Pledge in 2021 that elevated methane to the highest levels of the climate policy debate to the civil society-driven push to make COP28 in December 2023 the “beginning of the end of fossil fuels,” Gabrielle played an integral role in changing how we talk about methane and methane gas as one of the most important causes of the climate crisis. From helping press navigate complex negotiations at UN meetings and in IPCC reports, to uplifting marginalized voices fighting on the frontlines of the climate crisis in the U.S. and around the world, Gabrielle is sought by advocates, partners, and members of the press as a trusted source for reliable information and a generous builder of connections, with relationships across the climate movement and media space.Gabrielle was previously a political reporter, covering politics and policy in Washington, D.C., including Congress, the White House and two presidential elections at US News and World Report, and developed digital and social media strategies to bring a legacy organization into the digital age at United Press International. During a half-year residency with Cambodia Daily in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Gabrielle reported on government corruption, human rights abuses and the impact of natural disasters on the substance farming community. Originally from Southern California, she holds a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a bachelor’s in English and music from Tufts University. She is an avid singer and is a member of several choirs in her adopted hometown of Washington, D.C.
