High energy, passionate clinical residency-trained and licensed pharmacist with experience as a non-profit association leader leading strategic planning and collaborative projects to advance the practice of pharmacy, and as a medical writer. I am motivated by a genuine love of learning and strong desire to be transformative and creative in my role. I primarily have experience in health system pharmacy practice and specialty pharmacy. I am a strong advocate for advancing the specialty medication use journey and improving patient outcomes. I am currently the Director of Member Relations for the Section of Specialty Pharmacy Practitioners and the Section of Community Pharmacy Practitioners at ASHP in Bethesda, Maryland. My role includes strategic planning within both Sections, development of targeted education, and leading key initiatives (including the ASHP Surveys of Health System Specialty Pharmacy research efforts). I have experience as a medical writer/medical information content specialist. My experience includes work on standard response letters, manuscript development, slide decks, AMCP dossiers, and professional meeting summaries. I also have experience with content writing for a consumer audience. My previous training included completing the ASHP Executive Fellowship in Association Leadership and Management. I also completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Specialty Pharmacy Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Health System within their Specialty Pharmacy Services, and earned a Teaching Certificate from the UIC Teaching Certificate program. Prior to that, I worked at an independent specialty pharmacy during pharmacy school.
