About Gabrielle Yetter

Published author of four books, co-author of one, and writer of dozens of freelance articles. Launched my first collection of poetry, 'And The Clouds Parted' in November 2022.I started my career as a journalist at The Star (the largest daily newspaper in South Africa) and moved to the U.S. at the age of 22 in search of adventure.I worked in public relations in New York and San Diego, then created The Ultimate Dining Guide of San Diego to indulge my love of writing and food. After selling the dining guide, I worked for nine years at Business Wire, a global newswire organisation based in the U.S. - first as an account executive in San Francisco, then in London where I opened BW's first international office, then in Washington DC as bureau manager. My next move was to Boston as New England Account Manager for Medialink, then Malmberg Travel, where I was Director of Sales and Marketing for this luxury travel company. In 2009, I founded The Brightside Group, producing the Screaming Pillow, a novelty pillow created in memory of my sister, Katy, and her baby, Sven, who died in a car crash. In 2010, I moved with my husband to Cambodia to work as English Resource Adviser at Development and Partnership in Action (DPA), an NGO empowering rural Cambodians. I also edited the LebOOst Phnom Penh guidebook and wrote freelance articles for local publications. In 2013, I published the Sweet Tastes of Cambodia (a book about traditional desserts) and The Definitive Guide to Moving to Cambodia (available on Amazon). In 2015, I co-authored Just Go! It is a story about friendship and family, love and identity, a tale about no matter how far you travel, the path will always lead you back to yourself. It has been described as having “the feel of a good Armistead Maupin novel mixed with the spiritual overtones of Dan Millman's Way of the Peaceful Warrior,” and one reviewer wrote, “Yetter's story is mystery, romance, and thriller all in one, and the tendrils of an unexpected encounter weave through them all”.
