As an architectural drafter, I assist the architect and interior designer on projects. Tasks include the measuring of existing structures, site visits, preparing renderings, design services (interior and exterior) and providing drafting services.

-Working in the Incident Management Division as a Pollution Responder; responding to reports of oil and hazardous material pollution into the navigable waters of north to mid-western Florida. -Communicate with and educate the public regularly on federal environmental regulations. -Duties Include: standing a week-long phone duty to respond to pollution reports 24 hours/day, doing casework for all pollution reports and investigations, communicating with the public about Coast Guard missions, performing military honors ceremonies, ordering and procuring supplies for the Incident Management Division, hurricane response, and managing the division’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear defense program.

-Worked as a member of the Auxiliary Division in the Engineering Department onboard USCG Cutter Oak, a 225’ buoy tender vessel conducting aids to navigation along the coast of the northeast United States. -Duties included standing watch in-port, standing journeyman engineer watch in the engine room while underway, mess-cooking, & performing various engineering/mechanic-type duties in all areas of the ship. -Qualified Inport Watchstander, Helm and Lookout, Boatswains Mate of the Watch, Journeyman Engineer, and Damage Controlman.

AmeriCorps program working on environmental conservation projects. Projects take place in states all over the southeast working in National Parks, National Forests and more doing trail work, land management, erosion control, and other environmental remediation and conservation services.

Checking compliance and making sure companies are up-to-date with the Miscellaneous Discharges of Sewer Compatible Wastewater General Permits, as well as the Water Treatment Wastewaters General Permit and Tumbling and Cleaning of Parts Wastewater General Permit. Accompany staff on industrial and construction site inspections for compliance with stormwater general permits.

• Evaluating CT Municipal Separate Stormwater Sewage System annual reports • Compiling a summary report for the quality of the 2015 MS4 annual reports.• Preparing outreach materials for the MS4 municipalities. • Accompanying DEEP employees on several MS4 and industrial site inspections.

Drive 6 passenger mini-vans, 11 passenger cargo vans, and 14 passenger mini-buses. Transport UConn students to and from their community service activities. Train new drivers on all van types.
