My name is Gabriel Ross, but I go by Gabe. I am an entrepreneur who founded my company on July 1st, 2022, called Sort. Sort is a social registration platform for instructors, activities, and service projects. I started by taking business classes at the University of Dallas. After taking an entrepreneurship class and meeting many founders, VCs, and growth investors, it was clear this was the path for me. After the 2021 school year concluded, I decided to pull the trigger and start Sort by having a development team build a prototype with the money I had saved from high school in the hopes that I would be able to raise funds through the prototype, but this did not happen. The investors wanted to see a founder with more technical acuity who could develop the app, add integrations, and decrease the money needed to start up. So, I picked up computer science as my concentration and took development into my own hands using various tools. Sort is launching in June, and I have never been prouder of my work. I have signed up twelve instructors for our beta testing who are excited and in love with the product. I aim to give organizations the tools to run their business efficiently at the right price; Sort offers social registrations, payments, marketing, and accessibility to reviews from friends and family. I intend to strengthen community awareness by giving people a platform to hear about events going on in their community and the lives of their friends and family.
