The combination of solar energy and Machine Learning allows optimizing the management and operation of photovoltaic systems, detecting and classifying faults, anticipating and adapting to climate variations and energy demand. This course will provide students with a deep understanding of how artificial intelligence can transform the planning, design and control of solar systems, exploring case studies and strategies to maximize performance, improve decision making and contribute to sustainable progress in the field of renewable energy.

The application of Machine Learning techniques is revolutionizing process automation and data-driven decision making, becoming a professional advantage for those who can apply these techniques in different areas of knowledge. One of the areas that has aroused great interest is the application of Machine Learning techniques focused on the management and implementation of solar photovoltaic energy systems, due to the growing need for a transition to renewable energy sources. The application of different Machine Learning techniques in this field has contributed to reduce implementation and maintenance costs, improve system performance, detect and classify faults autonomously and efficiently, among other important improvements for the proper functioning of a solar photovoltaic solution.This Seminar of Excellence addresses the relationship between two areas of great interest and importance today. The aim of this course is to equip students with the tools to face the main challenges of photovoltaic system management through Machine Learning techniques. Theoretical concepts will be reinforced with practical exercises, thus increasing the student's decision-making capabilities in a real environment.
