This role allowed me to be the central part of one of the company's principal software engineers. I got to work alongside experienced software and mechanical engineers to gain hands-on experience in technical and software/web-related development for engineering-based products and services. The process involved me working on researching, providing weekly reports, analyzing and presenting opportunities for process improvement, and developing and managing company web-related services.While acting as Software Engineer for the company, I strengthened my web development skills, particularly in the use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as the deployment and maintenance of company websites. It also allowed me to grow my practical communication skills while working with experts from the engineering sector.

I have a personal reference from OLAM available for you.During this internship, I acted as a hardware and infrastructural intern for OLAM, Tema, specifically Nutrifoods. I interned with the IT department for the entire period. My roles allowed me to gain hands-on and practical experience working in and out of the factory. I gained valuable experience integrating and networking industrial machines and maintaining and optimising company office and security devices. By the end of the internship, I had gained both practical and theoretical knowledge of networking and hardware operations. I was also trained in error reporting, weekly report delivery and assessment delivery. I was awarded a SPARK award for my productivity during work at the company. I also partook in the planning and implementation of a biometric meal coupon system for the company during my time there.Upon completion, I developed an online food-ordering application for the company staff to order food.

Worked as a research intern to Professor Heather Beem on the Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system. My responsibilities included working with a team in the design and implementation of the system and automation with analysis. I was also responsible for obtaining research materials, accounting for research funds and resources, and documenting and reporting on weekly progress.My focus during the job period was to coordinate with other team members to ensure productivity and research progress and to learn as much as possible from the team.

Responsible for the development of the company website, as well as the development of an interactive seat booking app framework for the group

This internship role was my first remote role. I was assigned a team to work with and a supervisor to monitor weekly progress.During this internship, my primary responsibilities included redesigning and developing the company homepage. Along with other team members, I was assigned a section of the website to build to be responsive and match company updates and themes.At the end of the internship, I obtained knowledge of Node JS, TypeScript and its integration with HTML and CSS. I also had the experience of providing weekly updates and reports while working with a team.
