Performed research in bioprocess engineering involving the high-level expression of recombinant proteins in yeast and microalgal systems, as well as the design and optimization of bioreactor-based production systems for these proteins.

Responsible for many logistical aspects of outreach trips to remote communities in northern Ontario, Nunavut and Northwest Territories. Served as acting Program Manager during that position's turnaround, organizing 4 science outreach trips to remote communities.

Directed research in mineralogical processing, oversaw the design, construction and testing of a prototype of 'High-Velocity Impact Shatterer' technology. Also responsible for raising of research capital, and took the lead in IP protection and partnership communications.
