I'm currently studying and researching for my Ph.D. My working areas are Reservoir Simulation and Machine Learning, but I also have interests for Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Big Data, and data structures such as Artificial Neural Networks and Decision Trees.I finished my Masters Degree in Mathematical Optimization, where I learned to use Simulation Theory and Metaheuristics towards the optimization of complex systems, particularly the dynamic traffic flow occurring on complex street intersections.I worked for three years at the Cuban Neurosciences Center, in two projects: in the first, Neuronic Optima Pesquisa, my team designed and developed a system to support regional screening programs to identify school-age children at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders. The second project, Optima Pesquisa for Android, was a new tool for screening children using Android tablets, that is part of a system that will be used to detect neurodevelopmental deviations in kids in primary school.My Bachelor Thesis' work was about Geographic Information Systems: designing and implementing an efficient storage for large volumes of geographic data, so localized queries could be answered in minimal time.I wish someday I could work in the beautiful field of Artificial Intelligence, one of my passions since I saw Spielberg's film "A.I.", and make great contributions to this field.
